LOL I don't mind most daedric quests, but I was thoroughly disgusted and ashamed after doing Namira's quest!

I almost didn't go through with it, but I told myself it's only a game! Plus, I wanted to do everything in the first playthrough. Now I'm more selective and don't even START that quest -.- (well maybe my new "Killer Thief" will do it hahahahahahaha) The reward was so not worth it though!

The only other Daedric quest that really got to me was Boethia's Proving (I took an Orc with me, that I had just met, doing Malakath's quest) LOL I think it will be Lydia this time! hehehehe

the down side is not knowing what to do with all the cool stuff you get. lol
I don't enjoy killing priests but i love getting awesome toys for doing it. Sovengard is so over-rated anyway.

LOL Drysdale! Yup so true! Oblivion sounds like a cooler place anyway! I'll hang out with the Dremora, the Bad Boys of Tamriel hahahaha

But yea, in game there are NO consequences to anything you do (pretty much LOL). People will still make you Thane and talk to you and give you quests, no matter who you worship or who you kill hahaha

LOL! I still haven't been able to carry through with Boethia's quest. That's just so cold! ;)

Not that I've discovered (yet anyway). However, some NPCs will make reference to certain Daedric artifacts that you carry. So far, I've had several guards make comments about Azura's Star and the Mace of Molag Bal.

You might miss a follower or two when siding with the daedra.

Not that I know off. Even better, they won't try to assassinate you.

I remember reading somewhere that the Vigilants of Stendarr will attack on sight after you complete a few Daedric quests, but I haven't gotten far enough into the game to confirm this myself.

I've completed every Daedric quest in the game by siding with the Daedra (stinks to be you righteous types :drag: ) and getting their awesome artifacts and have met a random even Vigilant of Stendarr who never attacked me. So the Vigilant never attack you for siding with the Daedra. However, doing Azura's Daedric quest results in necromancers randomly coming to kill you because they want to avenge Malyn.

People will also comment on the Spellbreaker. They notice it's Dwarven origins, but also say its got something more.
Spellbreaker is awesome for a shield user. Pity it cant be upraded to 'Legendary' even though Ive got both Dwarven and Deadric Smithing.

The Vigilants will only attack you if you kill everybody at both of their bases, I had that problem with Tyrannus and that could've been a major issue if i didn't get around that.

As to answering the OP's question, there is no downside to doing the Daedra quests unless you have high morals.
