Is there an enchantment for Poison Resistance?

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 11:09 am

Other than what is on the Dark Brotherhood armors? If so where can it be found?

I am getting pwned by Falmer unless I can snipe them one at a time.

I know there is a necklace that grants poison immunity in the testinghall, and I had a character find a necklace that gave 50% immunity in random loot. I have no idea if an item is available as loot from a specific NPC or dungeon.

Also one of the dragon priest masks give poison immunity - in Valthume IIRC.

I'm just tired of getting pwned by Falmer. I even dropped the difficulty to apprentice and still get pwned. It's the killer poison they use and they're so fast at using it and they never seem to run out. Then when you kill them it's just ordinary run of the mill either weak or regular poison. The only way I can fight them is if I can pick them off one at a time with a bow, and that isn't always possible. I try to sneak past as much as possible but you know how that is. Sometime muffle doesn't do the job.

Truth.... I really avoid Falmer. Times I've got into a nest of them without realizing, I just cheat with tgm. You can plan for things like the lighthouse or Shimmermist, but a couple times in dungeons I've run into Falmer - and there's a LOT more of them than one at a time like the lighthouse or Shimmermist....

[....besides the fact that due to the "blue glow", and my aged eyes, I can't SEE in their damn warrens.... *SIGH*]

Alchemy is your friend,

You can resist poison in combination with resist frost and /or resist shock.

These work even after the poison has been applied to your character.

Since Level 70 I find a lot of Cure Poison which I never saw before. I can even buy it... It's really CURE Poison and not Resist... And no I didn't get it from the Silverhands who drop a lot of cure disease potions...

Never found one. But resist poison potions should do the trick. Becoming a vampire is also a solution.

Believe it! Even with a Redguard 50% immunity to poison, I took Snakeblood perk! So now 100% immunity. Cooool.

I was about to post this exactly. Check there until you find it. (assuming you are level 15+)

P.S. you can disenchant it, but you won't be able to get 100% immunity back on only one piece.

I have never ever seen one. Although I've already picked up about four necklaces of disease immunity, so if there is a poison immunity one it must be extremely rare.

I made a thread similar to this (Regarding the Resist Poison enchantment) and I came to the conclusion that it stops appearing (In shops/merchant inventories) once Necklace of Disease Immunity is available.

If I recall correctly, the following is the levels in which the items become available or unavailable:

5 >= Necklace of Poison Resistance
10 >= Necklace of Disease Resistance (Necklace of Poison Resistance is no longer available)
15 >= Necklace of Poison Immunity (Necklace of Poison Resistance and Necklace of Disease Resistance are no longer available)
20 >= Necklace of Disease Immunity (Necklace of Poison Resistance, Necklace of Disease Resistance, and Necklace of Poison Immunity are no longer available)

Sorry, but I have just found a necklace of 100% Disease Resistance. At Level 72...

Ancient Assassin Armor! 100% Poison Resistance! My Shadow Warrior wears that set all the time! On other characters, I'm able to make resist poison potions. Once your alchemy is leveled up and you wear fortified alchemy gear, you can make like 71% and up resistance potions.

The mask you get in Valthume... Hevnoraak? Yes, that's what I use. COMPLETE immunity to Disease and Poison. If you can kill the Dragon Priest for it, that is.

As for enchanted jewelry, I also have a Poison Resistance Necklace of like 50% or something like that from the clothes shop Radient something in Solitude. That place has EVERYTHING! xD

Oh and being a Werewolf has no negative side effects (apart from no resting bonuses) and you get 100% resistance too. Or be a Vampire!

uesp says it's glitched and that it won't protect from Falmer poison. If so, it's quite useless to OP.

Yes I know. But what I cannot understand is why it's mentioned no more available after level 20 and right now at level 73 I found another Necklace of Disease Immunity (Increases Disease Resistance by 100%) at Radiant Raiment in Solitude?

@ JackBaldy: May I have more precision on your thread please? Thanks.

To elaborate, you can find a "Necklace of Disease Immunity" (The name of the enchanted item, regardless of whether or not it provides 100% Resist Disease) at level 73. That's the only enchanted item you will find at that level among the following list (Enchanted items by name):

Necklace of Poison Resistance
Necklace of Disease Resistance
Necklace of Poison Immunity
Necklace of Disease Immunity

The point is, the game seems to be incorrectly tying these two sets of items together. Set 1 being Necklace of Poison Resistance and Necklace of Poison Immunity. Set 2 being Necklace of Disease Resistance and Necklace of Disease Immunity. What this means is that they override each other at certain levels (Look at my first post to find out what these levels are in more detail). For example, at level 73, Necklace of Disease Immunity is overriding the 3 other items in Set 1 and Set 2 from appearing in merchant inventories.

What does this mean? After level 20 (When Necklace of Disease Immunity starts appearing), you can no longer BUY (Emphasis on buy) a necklace that provides Resist Poison for disenchanting. Is this intended behavior? I sure hope not, but who knows. All I know is that this is what I concluded after hours of testing merchants.
