Is there a maximum number of files that a mod can have as parent master files?
and vice versa is there a limit to the number of files that one master file can have as "son" files?

I'm just guessing here, but I don't think so? Why? You shouldn't ever need that many...

I'm not sure but I seem to remember that I read somewhere a mod can have as parent master files only up to 3 ESMs
