I know that RAGE is not supposed to get installed without Steam,but is there an alternative way to bypass Steam and make the game run on a Windows computer ? (hack/crack)

Note that I'm not a pirate.
I'm interested in buying RAGE,but Steam doesn't install on my computer and it just doesn't run.
I've spent hundreds of hours looking for fixes in the internet and trying them out,I also communicated with Steam support but I can't get Steam running on my computer no matter what.

Also note that my computer fullfils the requirements to run Steam.
I run Battlefield 3 at Ultra and Crysis at Very High..

If there is a way to make RAGE run on my computer without Steam,I will buy a copy of RAGE and play it.
If not,I won't be able to play it.

NO, you could allways get it on console.

Yeah it's either Steam or console (for now). Maybe sometime later it will be available on OnLive and Games for Windows Live.
