They call me....Prophet

Post » Tue Sep 21, 2010 11:55 am

So the relationship between Alcatraz and Prophet is pretty much the same as Master Chief and Cortana, but rather than the wisper of a feminine female A.I Alcatraz is going to have to put up with the yelling of the cloned conscious of a big burly black man.

Crysis 3 will surely be a comedy....

So if they have a combined conscious... Alcatraz controls the right side of the body, while Prophet controls the left?

Expect splitscreen fun.

I can't stand Prophet's voice. I can't stand the nanosuit voice. Cortana had a personality, Prophet does not and that is why he fails.

Incendius, I can deal with the fact that you don't like Prophet's voice nor the nanosuit's. But to say that Cortana had a personality is mindbogglingly incorrect, most of her dialogue consisted of strategical suggestions. Even in the scenes where she had different dialogue it was quite apparent that she was just a one-dimensional character with even less believable chemistry with Master Chief, who has less character than a brick.

I think that right now Alcatraz is basically a shell for Prophet's consciousness - after the events of C2 i think that it's the Prophet that is now in control - Alcatraz saying "They call me... Prophet" makes no sense. Or maybe a rack for nanosuit, because as we could hear in C2, Alcatraz's body is now mostly destroyed, with flesh replaced with semi-organic nanosomething, not able to function by itself anymore.

That WAS Prophet. His personality integrated in the suit, anyway.

Sci-Fi basic rule No.1: No one really dies.
*shrugs*

BTW, that means all the suite-charactrs from Crysis 1 also didn't really die and floating around in the nanosuite-system...

Lol Cabal... Cabal is an AI from CNC franchise. Back to Crysis 2, my guess is that alcatraz is dead and prophet took over his body or rather his mind. That is why he said " They call me prophet". By assimilating his DNA and integrating into alcatraz, the nano-suit combined both together. Alcatraz is literally a dead man walking. Without the suit, he will die. And, since he could have died at the final chapter, the suit made a decision to fuse prophet's DNA with alcatraz so that the user would still be alive except with a different character.

I acually like the suit voice, though would be cool with a female option as well like the original.

I also dont fancy the idea of playing as prophet in the future >.<
