They really do need to re-think their decision making paradigm, when it comes down to making their games. Yet, as Smugetsu above illustrates above, until such time that ZeniMax's & Bethesda's bank accounts and perhaps their stockholder earnings are drastically and negatively impacted, they won't wake up and do such a thing anytime soon.
Yeah, this is true, but how long till Bethesda completely goes down hill, if not already. The things is many people including me believe that Skyrim in general was Bethesda's lesser works and they made some really bad choices; things like too much "streamlining", less spells, less monsters, worse quests and more. Top this with all the bugs and lack of support, especially for ps3, and you can see Bethesda's reputation already taking a turn. Any smart company would try to bounce back up and restore the trust with their customers and supporters. At this point Bethesda probably realizes their mistakes and it won't be long till we start seeing a change.
