Thievery..

First of all, ever since TES 2: Daggerfall i have always played thieves / Assassins. Started my first warrior now in Skyrim and did the Civil war + main quest. I liked the Civil War quest but did not found mainquest all nice, but overall i love the game so am gonna go on playing it :) So i continued on my first character, my thief.. (Surprise!) Joined the thieves guild and did ALOT of quests, got "backstabbed" by my partner and it was overall an awesome story in the thieves guild. Now as late as last night, i got ackowledge a member of the mysterious "Nightingale's" and (As far as i understand it) guildmaster. BUT the guild still treats me like crap in conversations.. So now am doing small jobs for the guild to help them bring them back up on their feet.. Most of this is noticed every time you approach your main partner in crime "Brynjolf". Who say; "Not now lad, i got MORE important things to do". Is that a way to speak when you guildmaster approach you? Am sure i would NOT respond everytime like that :P

So my questions is:
1) Does it matter how many job's i do for the guild? Will they ever get back up to their feet (Not sure what it means but listening from Vex's and Devlin's point of view)

2) All the way up to Skyrim as far as my memory recalls it was actually possible to rob stores during the night, now when i break into a store at like 2am the shop is (obviously closed) but the owner is up and standing at their counter.. Don't they ever sleep?

3) In previous games you could find really good stuff for sale, most expensive item ive stolen has been worth 1200 septims. Sold it to our fence for... 400!! *Cries* (Any advice here would be grateful)

4) Where are all the nice stuff to steal? Back you could find enchanted weapons and armor at stores, now the most cool thing i found was Orcish weapons, thats when i burglarized Blue Palace, Solitude. They removed the nice stuff from the homes and shoppes completely?

5) The perk "treasure hunter" from i think Lockpicking tree, does that involve homes/stores as well or is it only in dungeons?

(I know i had more questions last night before i went to bed.. IF i remember them i put them in an edit here)

Thanks you in advance!

/A more or less happy thief.

Have not completed their questline yet, so I cannot comment.

Some of the shopkeepers' scripting seems to bug from time to time, and they don't follow their normal schedules properly sometimes. I've broken into plenty of shops and stripped them bare while the owners slept peacefully.

3) In previous games you could find really good stuff for sale, most expensive item ive stolen has been worth 1200 septims. Sold it to our fence for... 400!! *Cries* (Any advice here would be grateful)

Given the amount of stuff you'll eventually accumulate, you're going to find this a non-issue in the long run, really. But learning lots of different kinds of enchantments and accumulating filled soul gems (as well as filling soul gems that you have that are empty) and enchanting weapons drives the resale value up a lot, even with petty soul enchantments. Enchant anything and everything you find, even iron daggers, and you'll be making lots of gold even faster.

4) Where are all the nice stuff to steal? Back you could find enchanted weapons and armor at stores, now the most cool thing i found was Orcish weapons, thats when i burglarized Blue Palace, Solitude. They removed the nice stuff from the homes and shoppes completely?

The best gear to find for reselling has always been in dungeons. You should know this already, if you've played past Elder Scrolls games.

5) The perk "treasure hunter" from i think Lockpicking tree, does that involve homes/stores as well or is it only in dungeons?

So far as I know, it only applies to chests searched in dungeons, but I've only just gotten the perk.

Thanks you in advance!
