Thieves Guild Armour

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 3:48 am

In Bethesda's recent behind the scenes video, Todd talks about how they get in trouble for being the ultimate ..."thief game". At this point, we see a character sneaking through a passage, possible a cave. It's very dark. However, the character's armour looks very stealthy with a Robin Hood twist. Typical of a thief, perhaps? In comparison to The Dark Brotherhood armour which is red and black, perfect for an Assassin. So, do you think it could be armour given to you by the thieves guild? I certainly hope so. Perhaps it will boost light armour, pickpocket, sneak, speechcraft and mercantile, as opposed to TDB's armour. Thoughts?

Thats very possible =D If so, I very much like it. I also really like the Dark Brotherhood one though. I can't really see cause of the shadow, but if that armour also had a face mask like the DB one does, I'll probably like it even more. I like the colours better =) I want to look like an assassin / thief, but not necessarily look red/black and evil

Indeed, the black and red makes me look too sinister. I can't imagine walking around in it, whereas the other set looks like I could blend in with society easier.

Why not wait and find out? And not put spoilers in your [censored] heading.

Edit, I didnt read your post because I dont wana find [censored] out, it really REALLY frustrates me, despite the mods putting a post up SPECIFICALLY SAYING DONT PUT SPOILERS ON THESE FORUMS, you still feel the need to. Not only in your post, but IN YOUR HEADING.

Thanks.

How is a black and red catsuit perfect for an assassin? As an assassin, you'd want to blend in with your surroundings. Normal clothing if you're trying to blend into a crowd, dark or camouflage clothing if you're trying to blend into the shadows or vegetation.
The DB armor is way too conspicuous IMO.

Then we would have the DB running around in ACU camo and Ghilly suits.
That just reminds me of work too much.

Looks like awesome leather with a hood and cloak (look at his shoulders). I'm sold. And that bow looks badass.

I thought so too the first time I saw it. We'll have to wait and see to be sure though.

Yea it looks cool but one thing comes in my mind, why would thieves guild have its own armor? Wouldnt it be kind of stupid to have all guildmembers wearing the same armor.. Any guard could just arrest you because thieves guild is illegal and you clearly are a member of it if you wear that armor..

I'm just hoping that both sets of gear are an entire four piece set (head, chest, hands, feet), so that we can mix and match pieces.

Yeah with The Dark Brotherhood armor you look kinda stupid. Imagine walking in town, around there are people and you dressed black... It would look more than a bit suspicious to say the least.
Thats my opinion.
