I have invested well over 100 hours into my last playthrough and only have 2 achievements left. One of them I cannot get. It is the one to finish all Thieve's Guild quests. At one point you receive thieves armor and apparently are supposed to hold onto it. Well I sold it since it was not suitable for my character. I am at the last mission but I am supposed to turn in some of the thieve's guild armor to get enhanced before I can continue. Since I no longer have the armor the chick you buy stuff from in the tavern of the thieves guild will not give me the mission I need until I turn in the armor. Is there any way around this. Please help!!!

What is that quest that you need Thievs Guild armor? are PC player? you can always use cheats to get some.

If you are playing on PC, you can press the ~ key (just below Esc) to open/close the debugging console. Write the following line and press enter:

player.additem d3ac3 1

This will add one Thieves Guild Armor to your inventory.

360 player. would love to cheat to get the armor but no luck.

IIRC there are some extra pieces lying around in different areas of the Guild. Maybe pick up one of those to hand over?

Still don't remember, that you had to have armor for certain quest, which one is that?

There's a point in the TG questline where you get upgraded armor but you must trade in the TG stuff you already have in order for that to happen. If you no longer have it, you don't have anything to trade in for the upgraded stuff and the quest stalls out.

OP: supposedly there is TG armor, boots, etc. that is placed around the cistern and adjoining areas that you can take for free once you're a member. Have you tried looking around to see if anything is there? If so take them and see if Tonilia will accept them as a trade-in for your upgraded gear.

Right, right, I thought that was optional, lol. Yeah there is some pieces lying in the Cistern.

I will try that as soon as I can get my wife to stop playing Dragon's Dogma. Ever since she started playing it the xbox has become hers and i have to bargain back and foot rubs to be able to play. Women!
