2 Things...

Post » Thu Jan 10, 2013 5:10 am

1. Do not make this Pay to play

2. Do not add a vote to kick system when in dungeons like World of Warcraft did, especially if people are paying to play. Doing that, is saying other players have the right to tell you that you cannot use a feature or finish a feature that you're paying for. This is actually theft, and does nothing but cause hatred, an unfun and wrecked play experience and it actually leads to account hacking, because who the hell gives another player any authorization or right to finish and do something they prevent others from doing. Again if it's pay to play, it's actually allowing other players to Steal from another player.

3. Additionally, AND ABOVE ALL DO NOT ADD IN CONTENT then make part of it inconsistent with what you did with the original aspect of it.

For example, in the main game of Skyrim, when you go about joining factions, when you join a faction it locks you out of the opposing faction, but yet here comes dawngaur and in order to get to the vampire side of the Dawnguard DLC, you have to JOIN DAWNGUARD...UMM that's backwards pure vampire players would never ever go near the dawnguard and with no knowledge it's a useless DLC.

Bethesda pulled this crap in Oblivion with Buying furnishings for a house they have buying a horse, and buying a house done a specific way and then ther eis buying funrishings for tyour house which is done part of the way you would buy a horse of house, then they changed it making is [censored]

Example
Buying a horse, a house, are both done the exact same way:
1. You talk to someone and they tell you if you want to buy (Insert whatever) to go talk to a specific person
2. When you go talk to that specific person, the first thing in their topic title is buy (Insert horse/House)

But when you go to buy furnishings for your house, the first 2 parts are done exactly the same as buying a house or a horse
1. You talk to someone and they tell you if you want to buy furnishings for you house go talk to a specific person
2. As soon as you go talk to the person about purchasing the furnishings for your house, there is no topic title like there should be just as there was with buying a horse, and buy a house.

The point is that buying furnishings for a house should have been a topic title just like buy a horse or buy a house. Because it wasn't I gave up on buying furnishings for a house simply because I figured the game was broken and was missing a topic title. So it wasn't until 6 months later I accidently came across the information on a forum becuase a bunch of other people all had the same problem I did of expecting a consistency in what you do in the game. Sorry bethesda but you don't do 3 things that are identical and then only set up the first 2 things and the first part of the last thing exactly the same but then change the last part to something other than what you did not do with the other 2.

and this isn't the only problem with Betehsda's inconsitencies either...I'm sick of it.

You obviously never played WOW when you would get into an instance and suddenly one person would go "Oh hold on guys I gotta eat dinner be back in 20 minutes." Before LFG people would actually wait because it was far far faster then finding another group sans guild running.

It will be P2P. Without openly saying as much, I believe that Nick Konkel affirmed that in his interviews.

One thing, make this game P2P without any type of cash shop, go the RIFT way and charge a sub.

I think a 'buy to play' model would please everyone..
Or at least having a lower subscription cost would make other players to move in ESO (and stay there) therefore having a larger playerbase and being a huge success rather than having a moderat-ish amount of community like Rift.

Let's just call that what it is, shall we? ;)

I gotta disagree with this. Not allowing people to kick means forcing them to play with you. You arent my little brother and mom isnt here to force me to let you hang out with me. Nothing personal on you but there are people that dont get along with groups unless there is some kind of consequence to bad behavior.

Definetly Pay a sub to play, however I can almost garantee they will launch with a "vanity item only" cash shop, not that I like it but I think most MMO developers will do it that way from now on. That way if the game starts to fail they already have the cash shop in place and all they need to do is add more then just vanity items to it. I don't like this one bit however I think thats how ESO will launch.
