Things that make you cry

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 4:20 pm

What are things in this game that make you cry? (Not about the game mechanics, just things that make you go ugh lol)

1) Opening a chest and seeing the little trap cord snap...knowing that as soon as I close the chest I have a fire blast in my face to look forward to
2) getting one shot by a dragon eating you.....so sad :(
3) Slaughterfish chasing you when you're way below water exploring a ship wreck

I found a stray dog and had it follow me for a few levels. And then I told him to wait outside a dungeon because I didn't want him to get killed... and when I came out he had run away! :(

Accidently pissing off a Giant somehow and be slingshotted into the sky.
Thinking you have the upper-hand in a fight, you having more HP than the enemy but he somehow utilized a finishing move and sends you to Oblivion. Dragons sometimes finish me off with 75% health left by simply chewing me up!

Something that made me actually cry: Seeing a Dwemer ruin for the first time. I started thinking of Morrowind, about the memories I had. Then a Morrowind song starts playing, and I remember more. Then I remember that Morrowind was destroyed and all the beautiful locations in Morrowind are gone.

Things that annoy me: Items for quests on the other side of the map. I stated Clavicus Vile's quest last night, and I have to go from his shrine (in southern central Skyrim), to a cave west of Solitude. I fast travel Morrowind style, so no click on nearest location and I'm there.

Same thing happened to me. I got a message saying he's waiting for me somewhere but I'm not sure where.

My horse going ballistic on enemies, even when I parked him like hundred meters away.

Seriously, I don't need a freaking tank!

Watching my companion get knocked back by a floor trap only to walk over it again.

And again.

And again.

this. there is nothing more annoying than plowing through a crowd of easy as [censored] enemies, only to be easily killed by a single enemy at the end. makes me want to throw my controller through my window.

Choosing the wrong skill when leveling up.

Yes. I did this. I was lolligaging it, kind of gazing at skills and stars and spacing ouuuuttt....and I x-ed the wrong one by mistake.

Also, I had just arrived at a temple, and a priestess comes over and you just Know she has an awesome quest, and somebody comes in to talk to me IRL "for just a minute," and the priestess was paused (instead of save file, d'oh) for so long that it was the next day and she went away. :banghead:

Happened to me today. Twice. By the same Bandit Chief b*****d in some Robber's something camp. With one power attack nearly killing me. And if I wasn't too busy quaffing stamina/health potions, he'd pull some humilating finishing move on me. Again, twice. Nearly thrice (with it being cheap and potion/poison spam-filled).

Despite the warnings of the townsfolk, I went into the swamps of Morthal at night when suddenly something killed me in one hit. I have no idea what it was because I died to quickly to find out. It was horrifying.
