I was about to bring up how we STILL don't have the ability to play instruments like an actual bard, but with a search you can find threads about that. Glad I'm not alone there at least.
But I haven't seen any on this: Why didn't they make the player make eye contact with people and enemies in third-person mode? NPCs turn and look at you and at one another; why not us? In Oblivion I felt more immersed when my character would look down at a dead body, turn and smile at a passing civilian, or stare up silently at the Gatekeeper.
The only instance of head-turning that really immersed me in Skyrim was when you walk with Tolfdir talking about the newly-discovered Eye of Magnus at the College of Winterhold. We were both looking at the the thing the conversation was about while moving. It was cool.
A particular missed opportuniy I saw was they could have made those moments where you see a shadow from the sky fly across the ground, and your character instantly looks to see if it's a dragon or--false alarm--just a hawk. This isn't only a first-person game series, you know.
What's something you feel alone in disliking about this game? Maybe you're not alone :{D~
