So ive been playing dawnguard and had no problems so far up intil i Retrived that Aderic bow, now my friend says Serana is ment to come ip and talk to you and discuss what to do next but i get nothing. I dont even get a quest handed to me, i just complete that current quest and then nothing, no quest no serana talking absolutley nothing, ive even tried clearing my cache, turning my xbox on and off, reloading a previous save from four hours ago but nothing works, nothing at all. Did this happen to anyone else or has anyone got any work arounds?

Try talking to Serana, maybe that will activate the quest. Or maybe you forgot to pick up the bow to complete the quest? If none of that works talk to the Snow Elf.

Ive done all of that, many many times to no avail.

Kill your self? She should say something after getting the bow... So it glitched out... There is also a glitch where if you kill the final boss while he goes into his bubble of protection the bubble protects his loot.

Killing yourself or dying just forces you to load the last save, so unfountunatley that dont work but thanks for the heads up about the last fight though.

That's unfortunate! Are you able to get the Sun-thingy arrows off the Elf? I had some elven arrows in loot and the quest didn't progress until I turned a few into the sun-thingy arrows.

Yeah i even shot a few into the sun to turn the day into dark or whatever, though i might get a reaction but nothing.

Has no one else encountered it?

Can you please stop posting spoilers? This thread also belongs in the Dawnguard support and help.

He's not talking about bloodcursed arrows. He's talking about the sunhallowed arrows. The Snow Prince (can't remember his name, the dude still alive at the end) will make them for you out of elven arrows. They don't block out the sun, they make it shoot explosions down around you.
