Is this class spread too thin?

It's a class idea that I've already started (He's at level 3 or 4) It's an Altmer archer, although he might be a thief if anyone can tell me that Pickpocket is a good skill to invest perks in.

So far the skills I wanna invest in are Archery, One-Handed, Block, Light Armor, Smithing, Alchemy, maybe Sneak, Pickpocket, and Speech. What I normally do is perk things that are slow to level first (e.g. Alchemy and Smithing) then put perks in the faster-leveling things. But I would like to know if that's too many things to perk before the levels start to outweigh the perks (Like having 45 light armor but only having 1 or 2 perks invested in it).

I have an Imperial warrior that uses Two-Handed, Archery, Heavy Armor, Smithing, and Alchemy and it's seems to be working out fine but that's not as many skills as the Altmer.

Edit: I'm playing on Expert difficulty, by the way.

Nine is a lot. The first thing I would do is lose the block and use dual wielding when not using the bow.

Creating a class will be trial and error. See if it works well for you :) if not try without a particular skill etc

Kinda depends on how many perks you plan on putting into the skill trees.....if several of them will only have a couple perks you'd be fine

Forget speech, you get plenty of gold with alchemy when you sell potions.

I plan on getting most of the perks in the skill trees I want. Certain ones I'm not gonna get are like the weapon specific perks in One-Handed, or that one that slows down time in Block.
