This forum hurts my eyes.

No, literally.

Everytime I update the page, it just kinda flashes.

And when I'm like 15 minutes in, it ends up hurting my eyes. I've tried lowing down brightness but no effect.

Anything to do about this? Sorry if it sounds stupid, it's just been bothering me for some time now.

Try a different browser. I don't have such problems.

Lol, don't be insulted if I ask this, but when was the last time you saw daylight? I think your eyes need some adjustment outside for a while, then come back in and see if the monitor screen still hurts your eyes.

I agree this forum is very painful on the eyes. To this day after years my eyes still can get sore from coming here. This forum scheme is awful and should be shot. I've been saying this for years, but oh no. No one listened to crazy old grandfather Gamgee. My only advice is to limit your exposure to the forum like myself, or change the skin and hope it helps.

Hey, hey, caaaaalm down, I am not insulting any of the users posting, actually this is one of the unique forums where I can share opinions with people who look intelligent to me.

I go smoke some cigars on the balcony and go to get energy drinks so I don't really think this is the problem.

It's just something I wanted to say.

I find the text is too light for the dark background. It should be white, not this gray shade.

Big difference in readability.

So, cast my vote for disliking the forum's choice of color schemes as well. The Elegant isn't much better. Too much white.

the contrast difference between the normal text color and the brighter one you just posted gives me a migraine when reading it...

I could use this one. It's not as white, but it's also not as dark.

Just a shade or two lighter would make a world of difference.

You can change the forum to look almost any way you want.

Check the http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1457335-forum-user-style-modding/ thread.

Well, thank you. I'm using the Elegant style now. At least when there isn't so much of an impact when it flashes. Before it was a flash from completely white to the defaut dark look of the forum.

I haven't noticed it myself, but I tend to be on the boards at work, so I have Chrome minimized to fill half the screen, so I only see the darkness and contrasting grays; rarely ever do I see the BLINDING SCROLL COLOR on the sides. If I have the window at full size, it tends to hurt later on in the evening of my shift.
