This game is currently unavailable'

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 1:04 am

I validated, installed, everything, my time zone's ready to go - (Europe) - Why the hell do I get the message "This game is currently unavailable" when I try to play? Anyone having the same problem?

Thanks in advance.

Same problem here. If I go into Steam's game folder, I can run the game but not the launcher (windowed). Problems seems to be with SkyrimLauncher.exe. I tried verifying the integrity of game's cache and everythings seems to be OK. I just can't run the game Luancher and I really need to configure it. Maybe I should re-download it but that would take quite a while.

This is how I solved it: Right click on Skyrim on Steam, go to Properties -> Local Files and press "Verify integrity of game cache". In my case, it found a corrupt file and re-dowloaded and I could finally play. Hope this helps

If that doesn't work, launch the .exe manually from within your Steam -> common apps folder.
