This game is just too realistic!

There's so many examples I can give that illustrate my Statement, but to name one instance, I'm the Harbinger of The Companions and I'm exploring a part of Skyrim I haven't before, Rift, and I brought Vilkas with me. While on my travels, Torvar and Athis come out of no where and Torvar stops to say " It's my favorite drinking buddy! " and then the two of them continue on their travels. It was really tempting to follow them, but I had more important things to worry about.

You might be asking, what is so dang significant about this scenario? Well I'll tell you, this goes to show that other members of The Companions do quests to, they have their own lives and do their own thing, it's really exciting to see them doing something other than sitting in chilling in Whiterun.

What cool things like this have you seen in the game thus far?

Was wondering if this happened to anyone else I met the whole guild in the area around markath. Ria and vilkas were just walking while farkas, the dunmer, and someone else was fighting a bear. A nice touch and a very pleasant surprise.

I killed a guy in a back alley and then darted behind a fence and hid. A guard rounded the corner, found the body, and I heard him say "What happened here?" and started searching the alleyway for witnesses/culprits. I stayed hidden and chuckled. Absolutely marvelous.

Cities have about 20 houses in, There are no spears, the country is a few miles squared, There are no reactions to getting your throat slit so long as a health bar says you are ok, npcs dont realy entertain themselves too much, you cant attack kids, water changes directions at 90 degree angles, the walls apear to be made for a ps2 game and you call it realistic?

Bah!! the next tes game will be realistic though!! Oh those so lovely daedra..

I remember I was just strolling down some random road when this group of girl bandits or something jumped out the shadows and attacked me. Then imperial guards showed up and helped me kill them. Then one of the guards said "this is imperial business be on your way." or something rude like that. Just really random stuff like that makes me love this game. :wink_smile:

I saw some wolves running and thought to myself "Here we go.." so I pulled out my bow. Then I realized they were chasing prey, I absolutely loved it. I watch a lot of nature shows on Discovery so it was just awesome seeing it.

Also, I always hear how easy it is to get lost in a thick forest/jungle. Yep. I was in the middle of nowhere, found a witch's house but I backtracked to find where I dismounted my horse. Next thing I know, I have no clue which direction I was supposed to be heading in or which way to go back to her house. :lol:

You are a glass is half empty kind of guy aren't you.

Game is epic in my eyes. So much content. I can easily look past some flaws.

I was asked to play Hide-N-Seek with some kids and I was made It first. They told me to count to 10 but, thinking "it's a video game, what do they care if I count or not?" I started after them immediately before a little girl shouted at me for cheating.

Then when I did it right, counting a full 10 seconds off, I find the same little girl and tag her. When she counts, she's all "10... 9... 8, 7, 6 ,5 ,4 ,3 2, 1!" really fast.

It was amazing; because for the first time in any CRPG, I actually was able to pretend I was my character and not just playing a game.

Although, I did want to cut that little girl's head off for being a hypocrite...

the next game will be primarily made so it can run on the next gen of consoles so they won't have the technological limits they have when trying to make sure it can run on a 360 or ps3.

Personally I only want me game to be realistic to a point. Having my wounded infected because I am outside and dirty and don't bathe and having to go to the bathroom at least once a day just aren't that exciting.

Was in the candlehearth tavern at Windhelm investigating the recent murders in the city, when a man named Sam challenged me to a drinking contest. If I won, he would give me some rare staff. A few drinks later, I win, but before I have a chance to revel in my victory I black out.
I wake up, Sam is gone. A Dibella priestess is accusing me of fondling some woman's briast and yelling at me to pick up all the trash I threw around the temple. I pick up my things and head out of the temple.
I'm... in Markath. The other side of the country.




That was some good sh*t.

This really did happen btw.

the volcanic flats have geothermal springs of the right color water for a sulfur rich area.

The Mountains to the west of skyrim are carved by a huge river and lined with cyprus and evergreens instead of pines (This means something like Limestone beneath) spot on.

Receeding glaciers remain stuck to the mountains or floating out at sea as iceburgs

streams pool in previous glacial highlands.

The rather desolate and open landscape of Tundra

Rather nice river deltas

Dwarves lived near mountains

Perfect.

I just finished a quest and I was admiring the gorgeous view of a mountain ahead of me, when I got attacked by three hired thugs. I was officially getting my ass handed to me, when all of a sudden the thugs started shouting and running around! I had absolutely no idea what was going on until a few seconds later when I realised a frost dragon had appeared out of nowhere and murdered them all!

One of the most epic game moments I have ever witnessed.

I screwed up a mission for the thief guild, not only was everybody pissed of at me, I even had a meeting with the "boss" I forget her name, I tough it was something important, but no I had a meeting with her so she could tell me off also...
+ when I finished with that meeting, I had 3 hired thugs waiting for me outside, saying " We are here to teach you a lesson, You stole from the wrong person.! "

I'm having a blast with this game ;)

My very first encounter with M'aiq the Liar. I was walking near a river when I saw a flame atronach throwing fireballs at mudcrabs. M'aiq was cowering in a bush with a rock between him and the atronach. I killed the atronach and got my three tidbits of fourth wall humor from M'aiq, then he ran off.

I do think it's rather silly though how the one companion you beat up in a bar fight always says "You've been good to me. That means something." when literally my only interaction with him was beating him senseless in a bar fight. I never bothered having him serve as a companion. Lol.

I like it when I shoot a guy with my bow and then quickly hide, he runs over to the spot where I fired the shot from, and says "Hmm, guess I'm just imagining things" whilst an arrow is protruding from his forehead.

I just made it to Whiterun on my trek to College of Winterhold. This city is huge with a ton of buildings to explore. I'll do some quests (be sure to get that Amulet of Arkay so that I can get married soon) and continue my trek to Winterhold.
