single player : its a corridor game, like lost planet was.. and honestly even lost planet was better in my opinion... and lost planet scored relatively low... all this game has going for it is the name crysis.. i think people think they game is better then it is because its a crysis after all it must be good.. i personalty have to drag my self back to finish the game as i should if i actually paid for it

and as for the NY theme ? seriously are they kidding ? all they do is a few random landmarks on completely random locations, like how many freakin places can the statue of liberty can be at the same time ? or how many subway cars can be randomly be all over the city ? you know what it reminds me of those terrible CHEESE BALL backgrounds from game fighting games like:

i dont have even remotely the feeling im in NY.. its feels so mega fake its actually disturbing me

multiplayer : the demo gave me hope that this will keep my interest up, but honestly it does not, demo i leveled till level 9, the finished game i got bored after just level 7.. its way to lineal for an in depth shooter like BF and its way to complex compared something simple like CoD... its just a bad mix and people will lose interest very fast

and honesly there is like 1 decent map "sky line" the rest are just boring

seriously you guys should get over the fact that its called crysis and open your eyes

Corridor game? someone obviously didnt get past the first few missions meet up with gould and the game grows by leaps and bounds...secondly the multiplayer has many good maps Lighthouse and Pier 51 are good examples...**** impact though

Anyone who think that game sux should make his own company and show Crytek how to games should be done Ohh wait... those losers know only how to whine and post trolls :X

Terminal!! Extreme crazy, fast & fun map

actually i worked for activision a some years back... and i submit many suggestions to video games many actually get used

i really wish they would have more people to have creativity, instead of copycatting the same boring junk over and over again... actually i dont think its crytek fault i thing its EA magic (ruling) hand.. but thats at this point dont matter the end result is the same.. this game actually svcks and im sorry i buyed it

I'm getting tired of all of the complainers about the complainers. The game doesn't necessarily svck, but there are some major issues with anti-cheat even after the patch as well as other things in the game. This guy is rather blunt and it would probably be better if he provided more reasonable criticism. However, if you paid $60 for a game and it's all messed up then you have some one telling you to make your own game, the devs know best, you aren't owed content, etc... Well, that's just plain stupid, and it sounds like they are taking it where the sun don't shine from the corporate know how...

Perhaps you're especting too much? I am thorougly enjoying this game. What the hell. It's a gamers game. Certainly you're entitled to your opinion, but really, this game, while it may have a few issues here and there is overall totally mind blowing. I thought Cryisis was great...this is over the top amazing.

By the way, what city would you prefer to have this set in? How much geographic and historical detail were you expecting? The scenery as it is I think is awesome...do you really need to focus so much on that in a game where you're so focused on blowing the crap out of the aliens you're not really noticing the landmarks anyway?

I hope you find a game one day that suits your needs and expectations.

So what? It's pretty obvious its not a sandbox in the sense of much wider RPG type games, but it's a goddamn Sci-fi Shooter. If the environment were too wide you wouldn't have to actually get in any fights (sometimes as it is, you can go most of the game without shooting anyone). People forget that Crysis was only wide in certain areas, and often funnelled the player.

Online isn't complex at all, you just need to learn when to use armour and cloak. In fact, the weapon customisation Kicks CoDs ass. They make you waste a perk on adding a sight to your weapon after already using an extended mag.
