Assume you're speaking about Steam? Search "Steam Offline" Sorry not at my normal computer --to give you exact instructions.

You push the Xbox button on the controller and select sing out of Xbox live. Or you could just unplug the ethernet cable form your Xbox yes.

edit : I just tried my own suggestion and found that your not singing out of Xbox live alone but singing your profile out entirely, so short of unplugging the ethernet cable I cannot find a way to sing out of live only. sorry

I'd disconnect the cable to be sure. It's the best way to avoid SKYNET.

I haven't had my Xbox up in a while - are you sure you can't sign into your profile and avoid Xbox LIVE? I know you can hide your online status and I thought there was a way to sign into your profile without going online (other than disconnecting the cable).

Pretty sure you can play the game without the online stuff on the console versions. You just won't get the patches, obviously. When I played the PS3 version, I was able to play without being signed into PSN with no issues.

I tried and couldn't find the option myself, but there has to be a way cause every now and then I'll turn the Xbox on and I'm disconnected from live but my profile is still loaded. I'll dig around again after Max and Ruby ( kids cartoon ) if I try before it's over there will be hell to pay.

I'm pretty sure there is a way but like I said, if I try before the kids cartoon is over they'll scream bloody murder and get all pissey with me
