Will there be more attention payed to the PS3 version of Fallout: New Vegas than Fallout 3? Because though Fallout 3 was a very enjoyable game for me but there were so many more bugs in the PS3 version than for the Xbox360 version. It was bearable when I just started out in the game but after i played the game for a long time (80 hours or more) the game was freezing every 5-10 minutes (sometimes there were 30-45 minutes between freezes, but rarely). If i could get a solid answer for this it would be great. Thanks!

Only the devs know any more than we do, and you know the answer you're going to get from them. "We're going to make sure the game runs well on all platforms." That's what I would say if I were them, anyway.

Well i figured as much. I'm not one to start a major argument about different consoles as to which is "better" because i personally own both an xbox 360 and a PS3 but i prefer the PS3 controller. And also the fact that i don't always have both consoles at the same time. Anyways i was just curious because it was kind of disappointing how little attention was paid to the mass amount of bugs and crashes there were in the PS3 version of Fallout 3.

There is an active thread on the PS3 and the issues some folks had with this game. Not everyone on the PS3 had this problem. It has been read extensively by the Devs. Bethesda is aware of the issues (as their QA team does read the hardware boards) and I am sure this issue was addressed. However they have been quiet about what has been done (or not done).

I have to wonder how many of these problems were related to a save getting corrupted. This can happen with Autosaves and/or using one manual slot too many times.

I was not aware that saving in the same slot caused problems like that?

Autosaves can have issues since they are written over so many times and are created when a cell is loading. However, using one manual slot over and over again can cause corruption too, it is just rarer. Some never have this issue on any platform, some do and it is not exclusive to anyone platform. My advice has always been to turn off the Autosave features, and cycle through several manual slots. Create new ones from time to time. You can always delete old save slots, but you can not recover from a corrupted save.

I am pretty sure it is easier to make and fix games on the 360 than the ps3, so fixing bugs is lot more difficult and expensive on ps3...
