Hello folks,

i was hopeless with my Rage for countless days, trying everything possible but [censored] texture loading, black artifacts and often crashing to desktop persist.... At the end i destroyed my keyboard, uninstalled game and leave it with no hope to return. However, my system (Vista x86) somehow went dont and i was forced to format HDD.

I've decided to try Win7 instead and give Rage a last try and it actually WORKS!!!!!

Windows 7 Ultimate x86
Intel Core 2 Duo @ 3.0GHz
2x2GB Kingston RAM
Sapphire Radeon HD4870 Toxic 1GB @ 810MHz Core/ 1100Mhz memory
Catalyst 11.10 Official release

Game Settings:
1920x1200
Fullscreen
Anti Aliasing : NONE
VSYNC : SMART
Texture Cache: LARGE
Anisotropic filtering: low


Game patched with official RAGE patch and i've add file from this topic to my Rage root directory http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1249144-ati-1110-final-drivers-fix/

ocassional lag spikes do occur, but no missing textures, texture loading time when moving around is much better. ALT+TABing with no problems

I am glad, that i finally solved my problem with this [censored] up engine. Also i am cosidering, that i never buy a game from ID again. AMD with their [censored] drivers are pissing me off too.
