I wish you had a "like it" option. I did try it but they just seem so slow. I do love the regular bows.

Yes, I have crafted and uber-improved an Enhanced Dwarven Crossbow, then enchanted it (with Fiery Soul Trap, in my case). Haven't named it, though! Still, as much as I enjoyed it, it got retired as soon as I finished the DG questline and got the final bow.

I love crossbows. My only real complaint is that you can only get them through Dawnguard-related quests (either joining the Dawnguard or killing Dawnguard members), and cannot find them as you could other weapons. Fortunately, this can be remedied for PC users with mods.

The idea of 'overpowered' doesn't bother me in the slightest. A crossbow is meant to be powerful. You're shoving a metal bolt through a person with significant force. It's going to hurt. But as others have pointed out, the power of the crossbow is offset by the way you're slowed to a crawl after a shot. You lose a lot of mobility, which can be a problem if you're facing a tough enemy.

I thought I would like them more, but after I tried one I was a little underwhelmed to be honest.
