Thralls

I just made the Moth Priest my Thrall. Does anyone know if you can make any NPC your Thrall? For example, Alvor.

No. You can never make anyone else a thrall. This is something I think bethesda could have gone further with. Yes, mindslaving random npcs could make things easy mode but if they implemented it right it could work. You could only do it once a week or every few weeks, and you could turn that person into a companion or a servant for your house or castle. Maybe he could carry your weapons? Shine your boots? Backrub perhaps? You could also just let them go about their lives, but you could command the to fight for you if the guards try ajd attack (but you could enthral them too). You could also have them for feeding. If you really wanted to, you could enthrall entire populations, but it would take in-game months to accomplish. Sometimes, if you're THAT determined to make the game easy, I think they should let you haha

It was a spell in oblivion, command humanoid. Don't know why they took it out.

This is a great idea, it would really add to the fun of being a super powerful vampire.
Also, there is already a way to turn up and down the difficulty, so who cares how easy Thralls make the game?

Exactly. I hate to say it but sometimes I think Bethesda is afraid to take risks.....

That may be because Mind control or possession may be part of a new Spell tree in future DLC. Living Thralls would kind of make the hypothetical DLC in question less awesome.

That seems very far fetched. And why would they do that when:

1. The spell was in Oblivion, so why should we have to pay for it this time?
2. Why would they have thralls in this dlc if they only intended you to use them in another dlc?

I was mainly talking about possession. You know taking control of them first hand.

Thats the only reason I can think of. And perhaps balance and the obscene amount of extra voice acting threw beth off the idea.

I see what you're saying, but like I said you need to put in a lot of work to unbalance it, and if you're that determined who cares? It's better than smithing and enchanting, which is unbalanced without you even trying.
