Perhaps, but from what I saw, it looks exactly like the vampire in Underworld: http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/10/109580/2069868-underworld_evolution.jpg

well if our vamps could bench press a mammoth then maybe currently they have nowhere near the muscle mass of the transformed Mum-Ra

The Vampire Lords also look like a copy-paste of the Demon in the Season Of The Witch.
That's epic :D

Kind of reminds me more of how Dracula from "Bram Stoker's Dracula" looked in his vampire-bat-man form (he takes it a few times in the movie, and at the end when he is defeated).

Check these out. More like the Vampire lord form, with scythe-wings and all. The only difference is that the VL also has arms in front, and grey skin, and not a patch of bat-chesthair

:stare: That's a real pic from that movie? Because it looks identical to Volkihar Vampire Lord. Great, they didn't even try to be creative...

Every artist "take something" from the past and other artists, its a normal practice - even more because we are talkin' of a simple videogame here

I know. But they had this awesome lore about ice-breaking vamps and all they did was copy Underworld. As if people weren't already throwing "lycans" all over the place and asking about werewolf vs. vampire storyline...

Oh, who cares. I have neither watched Underworld nor played Dawnguard, so what am I even doing here? Moving back to other sections...

Oh, Lion-O, I get what you're saying, but I think the Vampire Lord resembles the transformed state from the Underworld series more, snarf-snarf.

Having normal vampires as pale, fanged humans, and werewolves as muscular anthromorphic canines are even less original... So are elves, orcs, and humans. XD I don't see how this is any different...

Well the elvens of TES are different I would say, they are no simply copy-pase and for the werwolves, well a typical mythologic form, it's the interpretation that' counts from that way, of course there haven't all to to be new, but for the vampire lords they are obvious copied from other universes, they even look exactly the same as the Underworld one. In my personal view it even looks out of the place in the TES world. For vampires, they have relativ creative ideas in immortal blood, that's where they should have go one with, instead they decide to create very, very cliche like vampires.

I'd of gone in for the more tradition bat wings rather then emaciated apendages that look like they couldn't even paddle water never mind asist in levitated flight... but thats just me. Ofcourse I'd also have kept the butt ugly brute look for the males and made the females more along the lines of the sixy succubus. lol.

This design is really odd. Vampire Lord's wings serve no purpose - he's levitating with magic, not flying. They're only there to look cool (and they don't, in my opinion).

Yes you really point it out, same with things like coffins, the "real legend" Vampires, are undeads that are rising in the night from their graves/coffinsm at least the typical one, but for the ones in castle Volkihar I see no reason why they should sleep in coffins, it's just there because they addopted a cliche.
Same with the architecture of this castle and the ruins, they don't treally fit to the world in my opinion, it's also exactly this what you would expect when you think of the usual vampires, also same thing with the bats.

And yes this vampire lord is really odd. I just remember how Harkon says; "Perhaps you need convintion, behold the power!" - and I just though - now you are ugly and crippled, geat thing, How would it be if they more attopted the Ice vampire idea of volkihars, if they would transform in some kind of special Iceghosts, something impressive and unique.
When I first saw the vampire lord in the Game Jam video, I thought that's just a joke and would it never made into the game, at least not as a DLC, maybe as mod like this "space core".
