Hello half way through playing New Vegas I got a new computer and now I cannot use the tilde key. The keyboard is a standard uk english keyboard and I have tried everything to get it to work. The 1st install on my old comp was ok no problems at all but the new comp nothing. Can you help please. Al

Question: Does the key function when you press it in Word/Notepad? Just checking to see if it's not just a broken keyboard

Also, you may with to check the keymap settings ingame. Not sure if the console is listed among the options, but you may wish to check if it is and if a key is associated with it.

Check your ini file, under [Interface] there is an entry bAllowConsole=1 which if set to 0 might disable the console.

I know on my computer for FO3 the tilde key wont work with infared or the xbox controller. I have to unplug the adapter and go into device manager and disable/uninstall it (infared).
