Time Lock Spell

Okay, apparently there is no Open Lock spell, according to a developer at Quakecon, because well, developers are lazy and can't figure a way to balance magic, so they just nerf bat magic.

If you look at the lock picking in the ESO videos, you will see there is a timer when you are trying to pick a lot. The harder the lock, the faster the timer. So as an example, if you have a minute to do a very easy lock, you might only have 10 seconds to do a master lock. So, I suggest the Time Lock Spell.

Time Lock Spell: Cast on self. Lasts 60 seconds. During that time, when picking a chest it doubles the time you have to pick a chest.

What do you guys think?

Just because they don't add a feature you like doesn't mean they are being lazy.

No housing, no under water swimming, no dueling, locked doors you can not enter, lack of spell variety, can't sit in chairs, can't lay in beds, no dyes in game, and many more short comings to this game. So, what was it? Did they plan from the start to leave these things out of the game or did they run out of time? Neither is a very good answer.

But back on topic....

What do you think of the spell?

Theyve worked on this game for YEARS and you want to say they ran out of time just because the this you want in a game arent going to be implemented AT THIS TIME...

and no i think to give everyone a fair advantage no lock spells. lock picks are jsut fine.

If no one has a lock pick spell, isn't that the same as everyone having a lock pick spell?

I actually think not having the open lock spell makes sense in an MMO. It makes having a rogue around useful.

Everyone of a given level will have the same amount of time to pick locks (unless Nightblade or the future Thieve's Guild skill line provides a benefit). I think it'll come down to having someone around that's good at the lockpicking mini game, but yeah, don't need it, just someone good at picking locks.
