Timescale compared to previous games?

Has anyone foudn a sweetspot, comapred to previosu agmes, where we can set the timescale?

Unless we want the moons and sun spinning around the sky twice a minute, we will never approach the 'time=distance' measurements of Arena and Daggerfall, where crossing a provicne took up towards a month. But Morrowind and Oblivion? The timescales ingame in both helped the world feel larger. If you 'walked' everywhere, in Oblivion it would take around a day and a half, maybe two to go from city to city. Anvil to Skingrad was two days I believe. I don;t think Morrowind was much different.

In Skyrim you can walk from Riverwood, to Whiterun, to Windhelm in a single day. Easily. It makes Skyrim feel smaller than it probobly is at times.

For my own immersion I need to 'fix' it. I think, perhaps, Oblivions timescale may be the one to match, but i'm not certain. I always felt like I had time to do things, but there was a limited ammoutn I could accomplish in one as it should be.

What timescale do you prefer, and msot importantly... why?

Oh, and if someone would be kidn enough to mention what I need to match Oblivions that would be appreciated.

Oblivion had timescale of 30. Skyrim has 20, so the day lasts longer, and you can cover more distance during it.

Personally i use 12, as i feel 20 and 30 is too fast. And also 12 means that 5 minutes real time is one hour, 12 hours is one real hour, and 24 hours is 2 real hours, it fits nicely. I don't take the world size into consideration in that, though

Honestly not all that important to me. So long as their's enough hours in the day to get things down without it feeling like a week passed just heading down into the valley of a single hold.

Can you set it to a 1:1 scale to real life time?

Thanks, I can at least match Oblivions.

That would take something like a timesclae of a 100. :D

I believe so, yes. 'set timescale to 1.'
