TimeSplitters: Rewind

So, I use to love the Timesplitters series as a kid. After Future Perfect, I had hoped that the series would get yet another game, but alas, it didn't. Just recently [read: 5 minutes ago], I discovered that a new Timesplitters game could be in the works! Crytek now owns the IP to the series, but had no plans to make a game with it. Then, along came a few [read: thousand] dedicated fans who made a petition for Crytek to make a new addition to the series. They refused, but made an excellent offer! They agreed to grant a team of skilled programers, artists, etc. the right to make an official Timesplitters game.

They are currently using Cryengine 3 for the project and the final game will be released for free. On top of that, the Crytek CEO stated that if the petition reached 300k signatures, they would make and HD remake of the series!

For anyone not "in the know", Timesplitters was a game that consisted of a great many game modes, challange's, standard multiplayer, etc. The campaign was never an important feature of the franchise.
Also, BOTS! The game had bots! And a map editor! So ya!

Interesting, no? So what do you guys think? Do you want TimeSplitters to rise from the grave?
Personally, I loved the series since the start. The games are unique, charming, and goofy. I actually love how they don't take themselves seriously.
Anyone else have fond memories of this game?

*you'll have to find the petition on your own. It's not allowed to be posted and its not the point of this thread to advertise it
