Well, there is the theory our DNA was brought to earth via a meteorite.

...or not?

Actually scientists found that 91% of the DNA matches that of a human while the other 9% is UNKNOWN.Spooky story.Dont know if anyone has more information about this
Unknown, or just unidentified contamination?
I was guessing someone did a 3d print and added meat jerky.
9 percent of the genes didn't match up with the reference human genome
That applies to most every animal on the planet. We go from about 80% shared with mice to 98% shared with Chimps.
What's weird is that I've heard that I are more related DNA-wise to snails than to chimps.. Or was it the banana?
It's a little late to be making April Fools funnies. Although points for being half-assed about it.
Well that explains it.
It said in the picture gallery that it was debunked.
It's obviously just a human with some sort of disorder/deformity. It would take a ridiculous amount of convergent evolution for a species that evolved from a completely separate genetic lineage on a whole other planet to be that similar to Homo sapiens.
Maybe it was a pixie.
I'm still waiting for the "therefore aliens" meme picture. I know it will pop up soon.
this.
i would think there would be more fossils as well, if this were an actual species.
I've always found this interesting, like would we ever be able to communicate with Aliens? Even if they were sentient would their language ever be comprehensible to us and ours to them, aside from the expected differences in vocalising they could have entirely different linguistics making it impossible to translate.

I will just assume this whole thing could be real or fake.
I've already told you that it's the pygmy from The Mummy. It could also be a meat jerky.
They might not even communicate with sound (squid and cuttlefish communicate through the changing of colors with their chromatophores, and they're not even from another planet and share a common ancestry with us. Imagine an extraterrestrial species that communicated like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gomk0LVhPB8&feature=player_detailpage.). Translation might be difficult and take a few years, but I don't think it would ever be absolutely impossible.
Yea we did. Almost the exact same wording and everything.
