here are a few tips on how to increase realism a little that I would like to share.
- As soon as the game starts hit the ESC key and change the game difficulty under Settings to Master, this will make your opponents much more challenging.
- Immediately after that open the console and type the following commands (without quotes):
- ‘tmm 0’ (removes all map markers, you will start with nothing on the map but Helgen that you will discover right away.)
- ‘set timescale to n’ [i.e. n = 8] (sets in-game time to advance n times the speed of real time. So n = 1 will make time advance at the same rate as in the real world, n = 2 will make time in-game pass twice as fast as real time and so on. I found n = 8 to be a good value when you walk from place to place most of the time. Play with it to find a value that suits your playing style, the default value is n = 20. [Type ‘show timescale’ to see what value it is set to at the moment.]
- 'player.modav healrate -0.70' (removes health regeneration) [Type 'player.getav healrate' to see what the current value is, default is 0.70.]
- ‘tmm 0’ (removes all map markers, you will start with nothing on the map but Helgen that you will discover right away.)
It would be great if Bethesda could just add the option to enable and disable the compass in the Settings menu like they did with the cross hair.
I hope the tips above are of use for someone out there.
Kind regards,
