I would love a mod to be able to toggle (or turn off if thats not possible) the compass bar.

Very much helps with immrsion not having that at the top of the screen but the UI opacity setting is no help as that also hides your health and if your stealing etc.

You can turn it off by editing your skyrimprefs.ini:
Search for "bShowCompass=1" and set it to 0.

The compass is also used to tell you when you can shout again, so turning it off means you'll also lose that feature as well.

Thanks a lot for the tip, thought it wasn't working but you have to change it in the prefs ini file under my documents rather than the ini in the Skyrim folder.

Also the shout recharge still works, just appears when needed.

Now with the crosshair off too, nothing on my screen but prompts for pick up, place names and health etc when injured.
