So, I've just downloaded Skyrim for PC, after having played it to lv30 or so on the XBOX. But the thing is that, on the XBOX, those dragons eventually ends up spawning all the time and it's typically Elder Dragons that take some time to kill. So it's getting a little boring having to fight them off constantly, especially at the College of Winterhold (where a dragon spawns almost every single time I visit the place). So from being a nice addition to the game, it's getting a bit too annoying at later levels.

My question is this: Is there a patch available that reduces this is any way? Has there even been released a patch for the PC version at all? I DL'd my copy through Steam.

Also: At those higher levels, all the companions that I take with me will get killed almost instantly by any dragon encounter. Is there any way to prevent this from happening? Else I'm thinking of just keeping Lydia and anyone else at home, which is a pity since I like how companions work otherwise.
