They're not even that good.

They should have made half as many mods for the pipe weapons and doubled the amount on some of the other guns. The .44 for example is probably one of the most neglected ballistic weapons when it comes to mods. Why no .50 conversion, semi-automatic receiver so you don't need to pull back the hammer after every shot, a laser sight.

I'm only using that gun as an example because it's one of my favorites, but still.

Pipe weapons are the most modular weapons in the game, so of course they would also have the most mods to them. I mean, they're called pipe guns because the barrel and receiver are made out of old copper piping and are held together with random pieces of wood and tape.

When you can make a makeshift weapon, modifying it "easier" because you're not restricted. You can only change out so much on an already existing rigid metal frame...but a wooden frame of low quality? Yeh, can easily change that.

That also leads to their low quality though, because they're made out of [censored] parts.

I kinda like the pipe guns, because they feel "post apocalyptic" and crude. I think they should be prevalent, and I think they should be the type of thing that is found in all sorts of different variations.

That said, there's a SEPARATE argument for more 'regular' guns, perhaps something that is rarer.

Just because you want more 'proper guns' shouldn't mean less of something else. Why not both?
