OMG you lost me at Arcania. Arcania and Gothic should never be mentioned together, that's an accident.

Sorry man but your list svcks. Gothic 4 like Skyrim? More like Gothic 3 for me. Dragon Age? Dark Souls? Really? I'd rather you mention Two Worlds, KOA Reckoning. Even the infamous TESO has more in common with Skyrim than these.

Man, as I said It was just a graphics-based decision, medieval scenery and [censored].

The gameplay may not be all the similar, but, they all take place in either a medieval world like Skyrim or some sort of an industrial age, they combat systems are similar aswell as the smaller details like.. armors.

EDIT: I was also looking for games you'd enjoy more rather than have alot more in common to do than Skyrim and the games I mentioned, in my opinion were very long and a joy to play.

I find the only 2 series that are to a significant extent similar to TES are Gothic and Two Worlds. I'm talking about PC only, I don't play console games.
