HD TV

So I was all hyped up about finally getting my copy in the mail today (CanadaSo I get screwed. The text is so narrow and with the light game, all there is is a blurr. I tried playing with both the game setting (blindly I might add) and the TV setting, nothing. Other than change in color/contrast/brightness
Oopsie, seems I just took 60$ and might as well have tossed it in a fire. It's non refundable so I'm stuck buying another copy for my PC I guess, given I do want to play it. Just wish they would put warnings for things like that ahead.
My TV is only 2 years old and it's good, I get good pictures, played Oblivion and many other games just fine on it and wasn't planning to get another until my move in Spring. So that was a bad start for me on this game, truly.

So little warning to potential buyers out there, if you have a console, make sure you have the big TV to go with or forget it!

Oh that svcks, only thing i could recommend is, trying to sell the game to a second hand dealer, the pc version of the game is cheaper, so hopefully you can get at least the money for the pc version from selling the ps3 version.

On my wide screen tv it works fine, only thing that bothers me is that the resolution is 720p max, would be nicer to have the game in 1080p for full hd tvs

omg, the game is so laggy in 720p i wouldn't want to think how it would render in 1080p...

I wouldn't give up just yet. I only have an HD tv in my living room, but i was planning to play in my bedroom. I am hoping for a patch, you never know how quickly they may come up with one.

i really hope they can fix this, and if they cant.... hire a modder to do it and use it as a patch, anything. i just want it fixed.

I am with you OP. This game is impossible to play with a SDTV, which I wouldn't mind if Bethesda had informed us. I've been playing Dark Souls on it no problem, and the game looks gorgeous. Not hard to read any of the menus at all. This along with the texture issues severely pissed me off. The fact that reviews from mainstream magazines make no mentions of these problems pisses me off more. So I took a $15 loss and sold it to a friend. Back to playing Dark Souls.
