(My apologies if this isn't allowed...)

So, although I just signed up... I have been viewing the forums as a guest for a few years. I am extremely stoked for Skyrim. I have my pre-order ready. I have the day off from work... ready to go.

And then I was hit today with an email. An email from a highly anticipated MMO which will remain nameless in case it's against the rules. It gives me a weekend pass to play... the only catch: It begins on November 11th and ends on November 13th.

Why do the gaming God's hate me?!

Dude I got the same invite. If it makes you feel better, SWTOR won't unlock for us until 5 PM CST (right when I have to go to work Friday), so you could play Skyrim until then. That way, you got your taste of the Nordic land, you can veg out on SWTOR for two-three days, and you still have Skyrim once Bioware is through with us.

You'll have to forgive me, haven't paid attention to those types of details... And not cool, I can't choose between the two! AH!

Yeah, naming other games is allowed. I would go with the KOTOR beta just because you can say you played it before most if not all of your friends. Skyrim will be there and waiting, but YOU will have to wait for KOTOR.

I guess that's true. I felt like I wasted money on Warhammer, Age of Conan, etc because there was no beta. I'm thinking... after midnight release, strictly Skyrim till my eyes bleed. Then when I wake up, I'll hit up SWTOR. I work the following two days in the morning and figured I'd fill my evenings with SWTOR. If I hate it, at least I have Skyrim! It still svcks... I was caught completely off guard :(

Knights of The Old Republic was the 2003 Xbox/PC game, the upcoming release is called just The Old Republic.

Apologies if you knew that and were just making a joke.

OT: I'm pretty sure you're allowed to mention it here, and even on their official forums now the NDA has relaxed a little.

If it were me, I'd give The Old Republic a go and see how I fared with that as you will only have it for a finite amount of time. Skyrim will be waiting for you if you don't enjoy it, or do, and play until the weekend is over.

I may or may not be in the full general SWTOR beta, if i was in the beta im sure i would thoroughly enjoy it. but that is a tough decision you have there.
