I was in the torture room in Fort Dawnguard and came across a rather gruesome find that shows whoever designed that room did their research before setting out to make it.
I found a few iron ingots....
For those who don't know what that indicates, iron ingots are used in torture methods involving burning victims over or in big fires. The addition of iron makes for a slower burn.
Well i guess we can only expect the best from our Bethesda besties, so what exactly do they do with the Iron, just set it in the fire?
No, it's added while the fire is still burning. The fuel source usually being coal or wood, when iron is added it slows the burning process. Which of course makes the fire last longer making it more painful. I believe it also makes the fire burn hotter too.

I was wondering why those were there, thanks for the info on it :]
Cannot wait to check out the torcher room, the iron ingots being used against the vampires is going to wend my vampire over edge and it might just ignite a Dawnguard killing spree.
