Good luck! Its tough but it completely changes the dynamic of the game if Rome is defeated early. I did that in my Epiros game once, and its amazing how different things go. Namely Carthage and Gallic tribes being able to flourish

It all does sort of depend if Epiros actualy makes an impact. I can't exactly order them to attack the Romani but they are at war anyway. My plan is while they fight to launch a few invasions. I am hoping to be able to take over Romani land within 20-30 turns. But I know how easily wrong that can go and all my careful cat stroking could blow up in my face. Lately ever time I load the game I sigh and close it. I feel a bit Rome Total War'd out, part of the reason I have moved onto Medieval 2. Not sure if I will be able to get into it or not yet. I'm going to play a short campaign as the English and think about what I want to do after.
I can tell you it sure is annoying not knowing where any of these settlements are of by heart anymore. Does anyone know if you have console/cheats for Medieval 2... *cough* fog of war *cough*?
Imagine a game with total war depth where you start off in tribal age but advance up to the modern day, it would be amazing to see how alternate histories pan out, ie if there was no Rome or something.
I would sort of lose intrest around 1700-1800 though or depending when technology advanced that far. What I would like to see in a Total War game and I know it will never happen is a true world map. Literally the whole world and a ton of factions. In this fantasy world it feels realistic and the AI don't do stupid moves.
