Track And Field

So I'm just curious, who here enjoys running or was on a Track and Field team in high school or college? What do you enjoy running, what events did you do?

I've always loved running and as a kid I practiced freestyle athletics which included a lot of track running. I'm rather light so it feels like I can run forever and I just love that sensation. I mostly just tend to run out of breath when I try running during mountain hikes but even then I can keep on jogging for a while. Running really feels nice especially when you're running in some nature dominated area but not in the middle of a city.

I used to practice freestyle athletics as a child so that included a lot of track running but I overdid it on my knees and got osgood schlatter and I never really picked back up on any sort of structured work outs since then, but I still enjoy running as an advlt even if it's not on a track.

Yeah, I at least got that going for me  speed and agility are my thing but put me in a contest of strength and chances are I'll lose horribly.

Spoiler
.. against your little sister!

This. This just feels epic. I prefer sprinting, though not endurance jogging.

My brother loved long distance country running...whatever that's called in highschool/college courses. He competed quite a bit and still runs to this day (altho a lot less/just for personal health/pleasure). I think he liked the sense of isolation/meditation of the long run.
