Train Tunnel

Anyone get problems in the train tunnel that is near boomer territory? It isnt a location on the map, however it is close to the brotherhood safehouse. It takes you from where all the destroyed buildings are in front of the nellis airbase to some area a little north of the hoover dam. Its FILLED with frag mines and ferral ghouls. The door to the train tunnel has a very hard lock on it.

There arent many train tunnels in this game so if youve been in it you would remember.

Well my problem is with the Floors and walls, some of them are hollow. In just about the middle of the tunnel theres a little room where if i try to walk into it i fall thorugh the floor and appear by the exit into boomer territory. There is also a part, where if you are walking on the railings on the wall you go through the wall and end up in the same place. The place where you walk on the railings and go through the wall is near the little room, but on the opposite side.

Well im wondering if anyone else is having the problem?

And if not, the people who have gotten into the little room, is there anything special in there?
im thinking there might be, because theres a Very Hard lock to get in the place and its super booby trapped. Plus getting to the otherside only brings you into boomer territory where you get blown to bits if you arent their friends.. so yeah. Any AWESOME WEAPONS in there or what?

yah thats a pretty common problem, there were quite a few posts of it early on after the game released. i ran into it randomly also. I am pretty sure the devs know about, and as far as I know there is nothing particularly important in that room up the stairs so no worrys

I was about to post something about this. It is a bad bug for sure. Falling through the staris trying to get to that room will reset me at the entrance. When I was outside the entrance a Deathclaw attacked me. He knocked into the train building, right next to the door to said tunnel. I entered the door from inside the building (the only way out). The Deathclaw was in the tunnel with me then! That whole area seems buggy.

Discovered this place last night and yeah the same thing happened to me, i have tried jumping over the area to the stairs but i keep falling through and with further inspection of the area, there is no way to get in at all due to the fact that there is no ground to stand on.

I have heard of this area and seen a few post's regarding falling through the floor etc. I havent bothered going to check for myself, just avoid places posted on these forums rather than check for myself which would personally be a waste of time.

Also part of the reason is i hated those metro tunnels in FO3 with a passion!

I just found this spot today...didn't know anyone else had this problem too. One good thing about the hole...I used a lockpicking magazine to get into this tunnel, ran to the hole fell in appeared at the exit and unlocked it before the magazine wore off. LOL. I cannot believe just how terrible the QA team was for this game.

I tried for a while to get into that room...I threw some crap into the 'hole' inthe ground and watched a tin can fall in an infinite loop in the spot...I was trying to find a board or something to balance on to get in that darn room. no luck.

Yep, I've had the exact same thing happen to me with the floor and walls.

There's nothing in there at all apart from some ghouls. It's just an easier way to get to Nellis without running the gauntlet through the destroyed houses. To get to Nellis the easy way you just...

...exit the tunnels and then run (don't stop running) east down the train tracks until you reach the fence of the base. Then turn left and walk to the main gate. They stop firing at you when you reach the fence.
