But then the other day I caught myself watching The Hub for one reason or another and I stumbled upon Transformers Prime! I didn't like to start watching shows mid season so I found episodes online and watched from there.
It's quite possibly the most compelling show rated TV-Y7. Not sure whether to call it a cartoon or a CGI cartoon or what, but it's great. The only downfall of the show is some of the gimmicky things they have to put in to maintain the TV-Y7 rating but those things are, for the most part majorly off set by compelling characters and plot.
There is also some really good famous cast for the show as well. The writers being the ones for the first two Transformers films and the writers from The Fringe and Star Trek. Peter Cullen of course returning as Optimus, Steve Blum voicing StarScream and Frank Welker who voiced Megatron from the original series is back as well. Other notable people being Adam Baldwin, Gina Torres (both from Firefly), and John Noble (Fringe) and Brian Tyler scoring the music. Lastly, it has won multiple Daytime Emmy Awards in 2011 and 2012.
So, anyone else seen Transformers Prime? I'm surprised no one talks about it here, and if you haven't seen it, you know it's good, so watch it.
