I'm sure this topic has been discussed a thousand times. I'm trying to complete all of my spells in each particular school of casting and transmute is the only one i'm lacking in alteration. I had already cleared Halted Stream Camp prior to discovering that the spell book is located there. I have given the adequate time for the camp to reset several times and have gone and re-cleared the camp but for some reason the spell tome book is never there. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

- Tolfdir sells it when you reach level 50 alteration

- Enthir sells it occasionally

- another copy is located in Ansilvund burial chamber

If on PC, you can use the console command

player.additem 00109112 1

I'm playing it on PS3 so using a console command is out of the question. I've visited both Tolfdir and Enthir frequently and my levels are sufficient but i have yet to find it in either of their inventories.

Rightio - according to http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Transmute#Transmute, it's not sold anywhere. The only other copy is located in Ansilvund.

What if i had picked the book up earlier in the game at either locale and either dropped it or sold it unknowingly?? Would the same book still respawn in those two places??
