Travel light for unarmed/melee?

Travel Light - 10% faster running speed when wearing light or no armor.

Any thoughts on this?

Is this a good perk if by chance I'm doing a VH/HC run?

I am aware that the highest DT for light armor is 16 which is the Vault 34 security armor, though I do not like how this looks. Maybe I'm going for the Legion praetorian armor just for kicks!

I use Oh Baby! and the Remenants Power Armor. Works well for me.

If you have Pushy and not fancying to kill DeathClaw with those, it is excellent.

It's an excellent perk. If you run in Light Armor with this perk you save yourself around 10 minutes per each hour of real time when playing because you're getting to your destination faster than you would otherwise. Running is 99% of the game, boosting it by 10% is a huge deal. Especially if along with it you give up on running around in Power Armor and grab some lighter clothes. I hunted Deathclaws in Reinforced Leather so it's not like you must have heavy stuff on all the time. Worst case scenario you have to put it on via pipboy after combat initiaties.

For me it's a must-have on every character. :-)

Now, for melee guy if you count on getting to enemy faster rather than slower to deal your dmg, it'll take you there 10% sooner saving probably 1-2 shots. So even in combat situations it might balance with wearing a heavier armor instead depending on situation. When weak enemies are firing at you, you want to be at their faces fast, don't you.
