Treasure maps....what's the deal?

Post » Thu Aug 09, 2012 3:34 am

So I have like 5 diff treasure maps in my inventory and they display pictures that I don't recognize.
Are they all sep pieces of one puzzle, or is there some trick to finding the locations?

Are they worth tracking down?

Help an Imperial battle-mage out.

Thanks

The treasure maps are individual, and not a part of some sort of puzzle, and I suppose the deal with them is a sorta treat for players who take their time to explore and learn their way around Skyrim. rarely fast travel, and I find myself recognising some of the locations. Some of them are definitely easier to figure out than others though.

Keep in mind that you actually need to have the map in your inventory when you set out to look for a treasure, as they won't appear if you don't carry the map. Also, I'd say they're worth tracking down, as they can contain good loot and treasure.

Each one is its own map to a hidden treasure chest.

And yes, they can be very hard to decipher, especially if you haven't traveled the world a lot and know some of the more obscure landmarks.
Just try to memorize them, and keep your eyes peeled for anything that might represent the drawing on the map.

The treasure is usually just moderate stuff. Worth looking for, but nothing you can't also find in dungeons.

There are around a dozen of these maps. Mostly they are an excuse to go out and explore. While the loot is good, the Search is the real reward, not the Loot.

Hmmm....doesn't sound too exciting to me. I've already discovered over 330 places and trying to find the secondary locations is almost impossible.

Thanks amigos.
