Once this place is cleared out, the point is to open the gate, but I cannot find a lever or similar device anywhere...

I also notice that it's not marking 'use the backdoor' as completed, even though I've gone ostensibly all the way through...

I've been through this damn Treva's Watch four times now. I cannot seem to locate this switch. Can anyone be a little more specific? Thank you very much.

There is a small shack in the courtyard where you can locate the lever to open it. Nearby the well.
