Truth or lie

Post » Sun Jun 30, 2013 8:42 am

This thread is about how in life we always do one of the two things: Tell the truth, or lie like there no tomorrow! So in this thread we will discuss about the truth value in life and is it really worth what people say it is, and for the lies well let go free roam on it.

In my opinion I believe telling the truth all the time is stupid and will just end up being waste of time for you and the person you're talking too because it will end up biting you in the face sooner or later, while I believe lying is a sport/art that requires great practice to master and well thought out mind to cover all bases of detecting a hint of lies in the lies and incredible eye contact and posture to show your not lying. But lying all the time is equally stupid and will also get you trouble in life has well. So for me I find the truth and the lie to be tools for me to use whenever I wish and used them in the right situation with the best outcome for me in the end. So I say using balance of deceit and truth is the best idea.

Being truthful and lying are both needed, knowing when to do one or the other though is the trick.

I disagree. I don't think about the people around me like pawns for my end goal, and that's exactly what I'd be treating them like if I considered truth and lies as tools to my own end. The world is not about me. Why would I treat it that way?

Of course, after all that, I still find myself lying. Always about myself, the things I pretend not to have done. So maybe I've just got these idealized morals but in reality I completely fail at them.

Just don't ever say "Why didn't you tell me the truth?" or "How could you lie to me about that?" if that's your attitude about truth, Sepulchure. If you don't consider others valuable enough to tell them the truth, you can't expect anyone to treat you any different.

... Ok, I'm done preaching now.
