Trying to add a few perks

Post » Mon Jun 18, 2012 3:12 pm

Hi all, always seems i end up asking questions beyond my capabilities, but anyway i was wondering how i could add new perks. Looking through some of the ones listed i understand how they work. Im trying to get the WeapSpeedMult effect onto a perk, the only place i can see it is on the "Elemental Fury" shout, but i cant work out how i can take that effect to be able to make a new perk off it.

Any help is appreciated

Have a look at the "DualFlurry30" Perk: You can couple magic effects with perks using an entry point.

Edit: That still was a bit too short. I'll do a step by step explanation:
  • First you will want to create a new Magic effect. Best simply duplicate the "PerkDualFlurryWeaponSpeed" Effect. Give it the name you desire it to have. If you want it to only affect one weapon change "Effect Archetype" from "Dual Value Modifier" to "Value Modifier"
  • Create a new Spell of type ability. Add your new Spell effect to it and when setting magnitude have in mind that you are working with a multiplier so the wepon speed is multiplied by the magnitude you set. Meaning: Magnitude of 2 doubles the speed, magnitude of 3 would tripple it a magnitude of 1.5 increases it by 50%.
  • Create your new Perk. Create a new Perk Entry. Select Ability. In the drop down list select your new Spell.

Ah i was making the magic effect but not the spell effect thats why it wasnt showing up in my list, one last question checking the dual flurry spell effect its got those 5 lthings listed under the conditions, the has perk and get equipped weapon types, ill just need to specify what weapon type i want to be effected? and the has perk if i want it to have a requirement on another perk?

Cheers for your help, youve been awesome

Edit: I actually qouted your old post not this one but ah well

Yes and yes. For a list of what weapontype corresponds to what number for the condition look at the "http://www.creationkit.com/GetEquippedItemType" conditional function in the Creation Kit Wiki.
