Turn off static object collision

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 10:25 am

Hi.
Is it possible to turn off the collision of a selected static object?
I have some boulders that I want the player to pass through.
Thanks for any help.

Try NifSkope

Rightclick on the NiTriShape you want to remove collision from, then Block->Insert->NiStringExtraData. In Blocklist type in at Value of NiStringExtraData "NCO". Then click on the NiTrishape, see in Block Details and where it reads Extra Data type in the number of the NiTrishape, so that NiStringExtraData gets linked to it, done!!! EDIT: Go to "Render" and activate "show hidden". Some meshes have additional collision boxes. If it has it will now show up as grey shape, which will have to be removed by rightclick on it->Block-> Remove!!!

This is exactly what I need, however I'm having trouble following this NifSkope tutorial. I couldn't find "blocklist" or what it referred to so I could type in "NCO". Also, there is an Extra Data field in NiTriShape but it's grey like you said and when I right click on it and got to Block-> it only gives me a convert option. Also, where do we get the number of the NiTriShape, where is that found?

Thanks for your help!
