1) How do you look at objects in your inventory? C zooms in but I can't rotate them

2) How do you get the markers for side quests working? After I've finished side-quests it tells me to return to particular people but it doesn't tell me where they are when I make the quest active.

Any help would be appreciated.

rotating was acting a little weird for me also earlier. at one point it was working fine, i'd zoom in and then rotate the object by mouse clicking near it and moving the mouse while holding the mouse button. but then it stopped working shortly there after i believe. I forgot to retry it after a restart or maybe it was just me ><

In your inventory you can use the scroll wheel on your mouse to bring up an item and click and hold M1 to rotate it.

Not sure about the second one. You could try using a spell called Clairvoyance, that should show you your path to your goal.
