Types of spears and who should have them... : V

with the up and coming spear introduction, it makes one wonder if they'll be added to vanilla skyrim in some way. By this i mean, who will have spears, will there be faction related spears, e.g. forsworn spears, legion spears, companion spears. Also will gate guards get spears, coz it'd be nifty if they could block access. your thoughts?

If they're bringing back Stahlrim, then I want a corresponding spear. If there's a faction, just make some badass Solsteim Valkyries in Ice Armor.

but wouldn't you want some vanilla skyrim content added, i mean imagine verzarra or whatever his name is with a spear?

Yeah, I suppose it could be randomly spread. I don't know if they'll be two handed or one handed though (hopefully both).

If they're added in DLC they'll be in vanilla.

I do hope they have both, i can imagine one handed imperial spears, and every imperial and his horse running around screaming "this is sparta!!!"

I doubt they'll be added to vanilla, I just hope they're not like crossbows. By that I mean I hope we get more than just one "spear" or an advanced spear. They need to come in all vanilla types along with the DLC materials.

The shield and spear was quite common in Norse armies too. It's kind of funny it was never in the game to begin with.

Can crossbows be bought from merchants as long as Dawnguard is installed, or can you only get them from Fort Dawnguard?

The shield and spear was quite common in Norse armies too. It's kind of funny it was never in the game to begin with.

there's an awesome episode of "deadliest warrior" id recommend it compares an apachi native american to a viking, gives a good feeling for viking fighting style

Sadly you can only get the advanced crossbows from the fort and if you choose to side with the vampires you can't get them period. You can get the generic ones off Dawnguard members but other than that you're screwed.

its just damage, essentially there's 4 types two base models and two advanced models
